LGF Founder in Repubnant Civil War

I love to see the repugnants fight amongst themselves like the punks they are, and I hope little Charlie Johnson gets whats coming to him for exposing the memo that could have removed Bushitler from the White House, and put John Kerry in, and us out of Iraq.

The Myth of Unaffiliated Voters in Asheville

When I received my morning paper, I read with glee the failure of the Let Asheville Vote petition.
I giggled my was through the story, and have enjoyed reading the comments from the losers on the Asheville Citizen-Times Message Board.

I must have signed that stupid petition 50 to 60 times under fake names and addresses, and there were three of my friends who said they did the same. We figure we must have added at least a hundred names to their insipid list of crybabies.

This one lady let me sign her petition at least a dozen times because she didn't recognize me! I so hope that it failsby less than 50, then I'll be assured that I single-handedly brought down the whole effort!

THere are other people on teh interwebs in Asheville talking about this glorious failure, even Screwie Hoolie, who can't decide who to root for, when he should realize that the partisan elections will lock in the Progressive Take Over of Asheville. Then we can get to work on Buncombe County, and all of the 11th district. We will never have to suffer through another Charles Taylor again.

One of the big supporters of the petition was a guy named Tim Peck, and here is where he bragged about having enough signatures to put it over the top.

But the one I really want to hear is Matt Mittan, self-proclaimed unaffiliated, but really a libertariat in disguise. I may even call in to his show and gloat on Monday if I can sneak away from my work station for a few minutes. Looks like the Fab Four have defeated Dr. Doomittan, with a little help from the Green Wizard and and his Green Elves! I'll design a Trading Card and put it up later in the week to celebrate the victory over Dr Doomittan.

I'm Really Back

Some Bloggers keep saying that this will be their last goodbye...I keep saying that I am back, then disappear.
This whole thing about signing a stupid petition in Asheville has me pissed off but good.
Especially that Matt Mittan on WWNC Hate Radio.

That man is trying to incite people to violence, because when they lose, they'll have no where to focus their anger, and the whole thing has been orchestrated by the Repugnant Party.

I think the best summation of the whole thing can be found here.

Besides, all the rules have been followed according to North Carolina Statute. There was no referendum in 1994, and there need be none now.

I'm Back

I had some problems back in February, and one thing led to another, and I lost sight of the things I wanted to accomplish. So, I am now back, and will try again.

One of my original goals was to highlight the dangers of building on steep slopes in the mountains. I think that fight has already been won, and there are enough people in the fight on that issue to ensure it goes forward.

Another concern of is global warming. The right wingers have been steadily attacking on this subject for the past four months almost non-stop, and they will not listen to reason, nor do they care about what harm we are doing to the earth.

Right wingers at the BBC have produced a documentary called "The Great Global Warming Swindle" whish is an attack on the environment, Al Gore, and Scientific Consensus. This horrid Docu-Lie is every where, even my sister has seen it, and she thinks it presents the truth, having formerly been swayed by "an inconvenient truth" at the theater. She has even stopped recycling, lumping all her waste in one bag instead of carefully dividing out the plastics, glass, and paper.

I couldn't watch the whole Docu-Lie thing through in one sitting, and had to get up and take a couple of walks to cool down.

For the first time, I fear we may be starting to lose this battle...

Al Gore to win Nobel Peace Prize?

Good news!

Al Gore has been nominated for
Nobel Peace Prize.

Al Gore nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for climate campaign

OSLO, Norway — Former Vice President Al Gore was nominated for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his wide-reaching efforts to draw the world's attention to the dangers of global warming, a Norwegian lawmaker said today.

"A prerequisite for winning the Nobel Peace Prize is making a difference, and Al Gore has made a difference," Conservative Member of Parliament Boerge Brende, a former minister of environment and then of trade, told The Associated Press.

Brende said he joined political opponent Heidi Soerensen of the Socialist Left Party to nominate Gore as well as Canadian Inuit activist Sheila Watt-Cloutier before the nomination deadline expired today.

"Al Gore, like no other, has put climate change on the agenda. Gore uses his position to get politicians to understand, while Sheila works from the ground up," Brende said.

During eight years as Bill Clinton's vice president, Gore pushed for climate measures, including for the Kyoto Treaty. Since leaving office in 2001 he has campaigned worldwide, including with his Oscar-nominated documentary on climate change called An Inconvenient Truth.

Norwegian lawmakers are among the thousands of people and groups with rights to nominate Nobel candidates. Others include members of national governments, past laureates, members of the awards committee and its staff, and many university professors.

The winner is traditionally announced in mid-October, with the prize always presented on the Dec. 10 anniversary of the death of its creator, Swedish industrialist Alfred Nobel.

I wonder how the right will spin this?

An Inconvenient Truth

I was torn between putting Al Gore as my first post, or Rachel Carson. I chose Rachel because she was the one who sounded the alarm first. We listened.

Then, we forgot.

Al reminded us. Let's not forget again.

Buy the movie.

Learn about Al.

The Green Wizard

This is the 100th anniversary of Rachel Carson's birth year.

This is also the first post of The Green Wizard in an effort to continue and move her legacy forward. I am new at this, so forgive my many mistakes in advance, for I am still learning the computer.

The purpose of this blog is to move the people of my beloved mountains to action.

I see many new homes being built on the steep mountain sides, and weep at the scars we are digging into our mother earth. I will be focusing on this terrible aspect of our inhumanity as my banner to battle, and posting many photographs of the worst offenders, and will welcome submissions from you to help me.

My email address is and please include these details in an email accompaning your photos:

1. Name of Town and State

2. Name of Subdivision or nearest state road.

3. Your name, which can be reported as a little green elf if you wish to remain anonymous. I will never reveal your email address on this blog, nor anywhere else.

4. A brief summary of the situation in the area surrounding the home, and whether or not you believe it to be a primary residence, or a vacation or rental.

Together we can save the earth!
